On September 27th, an exhibition of children’s works created by Lil.School students for the first half of the year was opened.
The main goal of the exhibition was to create a unified style for the space. Another important aspect was to demonstrate to both children and adults how to present their work so that any art would look respectable.
The centerpiece of the exhibition was an interactive installation with planets. Interestingly, touching one planet would trigger the illumination of a randomly selected other planet.
We were assisted with the programming by Arte Vilnius resident, Denis.
Most of the works exhibited at the creative space Arte Vilnius were collective efforts. This means that each student contributed to the creation of a part of the work. The idea was to foster creative collaboration among children. Creativity develops faster in a group setting and through the generation of ideas.
Visitors warmly welcomed the exhibition and immediately noted the high, even “mature” level of organization, as well as the quality of the works themselves.
Each class at Arte Vilnius is an exploration of new approaches, techniques, and meanings in creativity for both children and adults.
Sign up for workshops and regular classes at Arte Vilnius. We look forward to seeing you again!
